Colyne and Thorfinna have always been interested in heraldry. Upon entering the Society, both joined the Ealdormere College of Heralds. Colyne is currently the Pursuivant for the Canton of Ardchreag, while Thorfinna is a pursuivant-at-large.

At the beginning of September 2002 (AS 37), Colyne received word that his name and device had successfully been registered with the College of Heralds. His device is gules and argent counter-changed, a fox rampant. Colyne's motto is Vulpes cum lupo stat, which translates as 'the fox stands with the wolf.' |

On January 15, 2004 (AS 38), Thorfinna got word her name and device had finally been accepted (after 2 1/2 years of deliberation). The letter said:

For Snowed Inn IV, February 2005, four pieces of heraldry were required to fight
in the pas d'armes. This flustered a lot of people, as they did not realize how
easy it is to make things heraldic. At right is a picture of Colyne at the pas.
He is wearing a surcoat in his device's colours (for one piece), his helmet is
part-coloured in his colours (for his second), his helmet is adorned with a
torse and mantle (for a third) and he wears a favour tied around his arm made by
his lady in their colours (for the fourth). His device painted on his shield
counted as a fifth, a badge hanging from the back of his belt counted as a
sixth, and his device painted on a box would have been a seventh.
